Holistic
Asian oil Full Body Massage ( Deep Tissue Massage)
Deep Tissue Massage is a
massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims
to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and
deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across
the fiber's of the muscles, tendons and fascia.
Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes
and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the
muscles not with the grain. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate
scar tissue. Deep tissue massage usually focuses on more specific areas and may
cause some soreness during or right after the massage. However, if the massage
is done correctly you should feel better than ever within a day or two.
Why
get a Deep Tissue Massage?
It feels good and it is beneficial to your health. When muscles are stressed,
they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins
in the muscle tissue. A deep-tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissues,
release toxins from muscles and get blood and oxygen circulating properly.
Because many toxins are released, it's important to drink plenty of water after
a deep-tissue session to help eliminate these toxins from the body.
What
is the purpose of Deep Tissue Massage?
The purpose is to "unstuck" the fibers of a muscle while releasing
deeply-held patterns of tension, removing toxins, while relaxing and soothing
the muscle. It is both corrective and therapeutic.
Holistic

oil instead of talcum powder. Swedish massage was developed by a Swedish physiologist

Holistic massage takes into account the client's integral biology, which is the
study of our environment's effect on both our physical and mental health. Work,
exercise, diet and sedentary activity all have an effect on our bodies,
physically and psychologically. By getting a clear picture of the client's life
and integral biology, it enables the therapist to treat not just the symptoms,
but often the cause. It also helps the therapist to tailor the treatment more
appropriately for each client.
Holistic massage has many benefits, some of these include improved circulation,
waste removal, skin tone and digestion. It can help relieve muscle fatigue,
stiff joints and stress. It encourages sleep and promotes a feeling of well
being by releasing endorphins (happy hormones). The psychological uplift that
people experience when receiving a holistic massage can often help them to cope
with the stresses in their lives that usually they would struggle to deal with.

Stone
massage therapy ( Hot or Cold )
Stone massage therapy
involves the application of water heated basalt stones of varying sizes to key
points of the body, giving deep massage and creating sensations of comfort and warmth.
The direct heat relaxes muscles, allowing manipulation of a greater intensity
than a regular massage – meaning the muscles are warmed to such a degree that
it eliminates the use of effleurage and kneading for the therapist who wants to
work a deep massage, which in turn takes a lot of the hard work and energy out
of the massage for sport therapists or therapeutic massage therapists.
In cases of muscular injury and inflammation, frozen cooling marble stones are
used. This creates a type of thermo therapeutic ‘vascular gymnastics’ in the
circulatory system to help the body detoxify and heal. The warmer stones expand
the blood vessels, pushing blood and unwanted waste materials through the body.
This has a sedative effect on the nervous system. The cold stones cause the
blood vessels to constrict, stimulating the nervous system and drawing blood
and waste products along the body. This ensures that every cell in the body
receives more oxygen and nutrients while at the same time waste material is
removed more effectively through the corresponding increase in lymph flow. Not
unlike changing the old oil and filter in your car for a newer filter with
clean oil – a service for the body.
It is quite an experience
to feel the deeply relaxing, penetrating heat from the basalt stones
alternating with the toning and refreshing coolness of the marble stones. The
use of extremes of temperature has long been scientifically and medically
proven to be of benefit to the body. Those who wish to relax and tone their
muscles with a minimum of effort see this in the use of ice packs for muscle
trauma and the use of saunas.
Cold stones are vase
constricting, which means they decrease blood flow to an area and increase
blood viscosity, decrease metabolism, reduce inflammation, elevate the client’s
pain threshold. Which affords the client more comfort, reduce skeletal muscle
spasms, which decreases pain, decreases the sensitivity of muscle fibers and
decreases nerve-conduction velocity (creates a numbing effect),
The weight of the stones
offers a comforting pressure to the body’s stress zones and counteracts the
weight of the clients own body, which then creates an immediate uplifting
response. Additionally relaxation is induced very quickly allowing the clients
body to heal it.
Nearly all stones and
minerals have some magnetic character, which therefore re-organizes the
structure of the human energy body, and polarizes imbalances within the
physical body

Although IHM treats only the upper part of the body it provides widespread
benefits and is a truly holistic therapy as it has many physiological and
psychological benefits. It is a fantastic stress buster and as it is performed
fully clothed and seated, it is perfect for the workplace.
Not only is it completely non-invasive but it especially targets those tension
areas in the neck and shoulders so often experienced at work. Other areas
worked on during a treatment are the upper back and arms, scalp and face. IHM
helps to relieve stress and improve concentration and clarity of thought thus
helping people to function more efficiently.

Hopi Ear Candling
Thermo-Auricular Therapy (ear candling) is a pleasant
non-invasive treatment of the ears and used to treat a variety of conditions
including Tinnitus, Headaches/migraines, excessive/compacted ear wax, mild
hearing loss, glue hear, ear aches, sinus problems, colds/flu, sore throats,
snoring (in some cases), hay fever, Menieres disease, pressure regulation and
stress. These ear candles induce a revitalizing heat upon the head and ears
which soothes, relieves and relaxes. Today ear candling is performed in many
natural and alternative healthcare practices.
THE TREATMENT
A relaxing
atmosphere is created, with soothing music, and fragrant essential oils, and
the lighted ear candle is placed with its base in the clients ear. A light suction
action (chimney effect) and the movement of the flame create a vibration of air
in the ear candle, generating a massage-like effect on the eardrum. This
induces a feeling of warmth and a balance of pressure in the ears, forehead and
sinuses. It is soothing and helpful for earache and headaches, ear noise,
stress and nervousness. The physical effect is often described directly after
the treatment as a soothing, pressure and pain relieving sensation, mainly in
the ear and head area. Treatment may also spontaneously cause freer nasal
breathing and an improved sense of smell even when the nose was blocked before
treatment. Gentle heat is experienced around the ear, promoting the blood and
lymph circulation. The heat is transmitted through to the rest of the ear and
surrounding structures. The ingredients of the candle vaporized and circulate
around the outer part of the ear. This draws out impurities and promotes the
natural release of excessive earwax from the ear canal. Earwax is softened and
can be removed up to 48 hours after a treatment, e.g. it is usually naturally
expelled in the shower or on the pillow in the morning. Hearing can be
temporarily reduced by the wax expanding, just as when drops are put in the
ears, the wax is hydrated and expands before being removed.
As the
ingredients vaporize, they are drawn down inside the candle and circulate
around the ear canal. (The sizzling sound the client hears is the ingredient vaporizing).
The vapors are also inhaled through the nose and into the lungs, where their
therapeutic properties are circulated around the body via the blood. Many of
the constituents of the candles have properties that calm and soothe the
nervous system, and also have the effect of lifting depression and promoting a
‘feel good factor’.
A light
head and facial massage completes the treatment. Afterwards the contents of the
candle are examined to see how effective the treatment has been and to indicate
how further treatments should proceed.
